| 内容記述 | This paper discusses the sprouting and challenges of democratic media in Japan during the era around 1945, when the country was defeated in the Second World War, occupied by the Allied Powers, and its colonies were liberated. General Headquarters （GHQ） had aimed for Japan’s democratization and demilitarization: early democratization programs greatly influenced how the transformation was promoted in Japan’s film industry. During this era, ethnic Koreans residing in Japan （Zainichi Koreans）, liberated from colonial rule, began to form their own cultural organizations in various parts of the country. The approaches taken by Nippon Eiga Shinsha and by Zainichi Koreans of Minshu Eigasha during the early stages of democracy are examined. The present paper considers the content of specific video works such as news and documentary films by these film companies. | |||||
