| 内容記述 | In the case of library users over the age of twelve, a day's survey on 4 libraries of the same scale about 90,000 books shows the result as follows, the visitors' rate that is the rate of the number of visitors as against the district population decreases exponentially with the distance between the district center and the library. The same Phenomenon can be seen in the registration rate as against the district population in libraries over several years old. However, in the case of new libraries the registration rate decreases exponentially with the sauare of the distance. The visitors' rate and the registration rate can be considered as related to one another by the frequency of users'visits to libraries, and therefore, when that frequency is not influenced by distance, they can be explained to decrease exponentially equally. But in new libraries, since users'visits are more frequent around the vicinity of the library, the resistration rate is low despite the high visitors' rate, so the registration rate can be presumed to decrease exponentially with the square of the distance. | |||||
