| 内容記述 | The legibility of characters is a degree of easiness of reading, and it connotes two viewpoints. the one is discriminating letters or words and the other is comprehensing sentences or texts. Various factors exert influences on the legibility. Up to the present, many studies on the legibility of printed characters have been done, aside from handwritten ones. Recently dot-matrix characters are increasing radically with the progress and populalization of computer and word processor. In this paper, we mention vicissitudes of text printing and concept of legibility, and investigated literatures and wrapped up these studies. Following this paper, we will report our studies mainly on the quality of dot-matrix characters as Part 2 in this transactions. | |||||
