内容記述 | Subjective brightness of scene illuminated by the three-band-type fluorescent lamp is higher than the one illuminated by regular white fluorescent lamp. The former fluorescent lamp is with spectral distribution which inclues three peaks at 450,540 and 610 nm respectively. The brightness increases about 40%. Consequently the equivalent illuminance ratio is about 1.4. The front part of our eyeball is the iris, which automatically controls the amount of light which enter the eye. For example, the pupil expands under levels of light. If the level by the three-band-type fluorescent lamp is higher than the one by the white fluorescent lamp under the equal illuminance, the pupil will close, and its diameter will decrease. For confilming this phenomena, variation of aperture of the pupil was measured by using photographs of the pupil taken by infrared film. The variation was between 4.5 and 5.9 mm, and actually the diameter of the pupil always decreased under the three-band-type fluorescent lamp. Although the variation includes a personal error, the equivalent illuminance ratio is about 1.4 under 1000 Ix. The lower the illuminance, the less the ratio, and it will be near 1. This evaluation is characterized by its objectivity of measuring the diameter of pupil, comparing with usual psychological evaluation which answers the degree of brightness. | |||||
