Before starting the simmulation, the objective system should be carefully modeled to satisfy the final purpose of the analysis itself. In this short paper, a modeling technique of switching power converters based on the power flow is described, where each switching phenomena and resultant harmonics are ignored for simplisity and only the dominant power flow affecting its dynamic behavior is taken into account. First, the definition and the feature of the instantaneous space vector, which is necessary for describing the three-phase ac system, is carefully explained.
