In Chapter 1, Saito discusses the guidance of SDGs for secondary education and higher education. Each section includes the discussion after the change in the education system with SDGs. In Chapter 2, Shigemitsu points out that the aspect of understanding cultures is placed beneath the all 17 goals. However, the aspect is not mentioned explicitly. Therefore, when employing SDGs in the classes or courses, we need to keep in mind on the aspect of socio-cultural background into the SDGs. In Chapter 3, Shigeno explores the possibility of building the foundation of the SDGs philosophy by taking multicultural education as an example from the perspective of management in school education. As a result, it was found that the practice of multicultural education requires school management to develop while connecting and overlapping with learning of various related genres such as human rights, environment, and gender.
