The number of ALS patients increased from 3,794 in 1995 to 9,950 in 2014, which is about three times higher. Given the current population growth and these facts, that number is likely to continue to grow. If more and more people cannot sway their bodies, the demand for gaze manipulation, instead of hand, will increase. A robot that can be operated by a gaze interface would be helpful for patients who cannot move their bodies. This research develops a line-of-sight interface for crawling robots that can be interactive to others in order to improve the QOL (Quality of Life) of people with physical disabilities. In this paper, as a preliminary experiment, we used a VR device to simulate and verify the operation performance of the VR line-of-sight interface. We made a target touch game with a gaze control. Nine participants performed this game.
