One is about relationships AI and Active Learning teaching method written by Takizawa (Chapter 2). The other is on Society 5.0 and teaching English speaking skills (Chapter 3) written by Shigemitsu. According to Takizawa, active learning is a learning process that will become a key role to form “a zest for life”. It means to enable students to solidly acquire basic and fundamental knowledge and skills, to foster the ability to think, to make decisions, to express themselves and other abilities that are necessary to solve problems by using acquired knowledge and skills, to cultivate an attitude of proactive learning and to develop pupils’ individuality. However, AI would transform economic activities and bring disparities among citizens. Therefore, it is considered that the power of common understanding that everyone can enjoy and maintain the possibility of life through basic income is also required.Shigemitsu claims in Chapter 2 that society 5.0 does not directly cover English education. She also says that the concept of society 5.0 might affect English teaching, illustrating how English speaking test would have been introduced.
