| 内容記述 | This paper presents AI Street Piano Dodekaphonie, a live piano performance system that automatically generates atonal music based on dodecaphony, also known as the twelve-tone technique. The system is an extension of the author’s previous works, VT Piano and AI Street Piano, and generates tone rows in real time in response to the performer’s key presses. As a result, twelve-tone atonal music is consistently produced regardless of which keys are played or how they are struck. The generated tones are constrained to pitch regions close to the performer’s key positions, allowing performers to maintain an intended sense of pitch direction while performing within an atonal framework. This enables expressive improvisational piano performance with control over musical elements such as pitch, dynamics, tempo, and groove under the constraints of the twelve-tone technique. In addition, the system was exhibited in a public university exhibition, where general visitors were invited to interact with it. Analysis of the exhibition data revealed that explicit reactions or comments related to the twelve-tone technique were rarely observed, suggesting that the structural characteristics of dodecaphony are not easily recognized by general audiences in a free performance setting. This paper discusses these results as empirical findings on the contemporary reception of twelvetone music and examines the implications for the design of experiential systems that aim to convey structural musical techniques. |
